Kids have loved Beverly Cleary's books for years and years. The Henry Huggins series is especially good because boys and girls alike are interested in reading all about Henry's adventures. Henry's dog Ribsy is just the kind of dog any kid would want for a pet. In this book, Ribsy gets lost and is found by a family of five children who take him home and give him a bubble bath. Ribsy who finally escapes the bath, ends up having the time of his life while Henry and his family hunt all over for him. But as always, in the Cleary books all's well that ends well and Ribsy, after making many new friends, goes home, exhausted and happy to be there.
