I really enjoyed reading this book. It was based on facts. It tells the story of a young girl from Deerfield Massachusetts. Her family was English and during the war between the French/Native Americans & the English she and her brothers, sister and stepmom were captured by the Indians and taken to Canada. This story tells what happened to her after she went to live with the Indians. It tells about the choices that she and others from Deerfield had to face.

A good book for young readers as well as adults.
