Good book. Very suspenseful and thought-provoking. Frank Peretti does a great job of writing spiritual thrillers that could easily happen in today's world.

John Barrett is a well-known anchorman for a news station, comfortable and locally famous. His father is the Prophet, a street preacher. Now John is hearing voices, suffering voices. This is a good story with a Christian bent; but that's what Frank Peretti writes.

John Barrett, anchorman for "NewsSix at Five", the city's most watched newscast, has a problem. His comfortable, successful world is being jarred to the breaking point. His father's "accidental"death suddenly isn't looking so accidental. Carl, his estranged son, has returned to challenge his integrity and probe to find the man behind the TV image. The supposedly professional and objective newsroom is now divided and fighting over Truth. And what are these mysterious "voices" Barrett is hearing...

I enjoyed reading Prophet immensely. Not only was the book suspenseful and intriguing, Peretti hits upon controversial issues in a way that causes the reader to examine his own opinions on these issues. A good read!

I really enjoyed reading Peretti's "This present Darkness", but I couldn't even finish this one....definately not my favorite, but if you like tales about angels and demons then you might like this one.
