A good sequel. However, if you have not first read Rhapsody, you may not understand what is happening in Prophecy; this part of the story does not stand well on its own. I've also enjoyed better writing, but the imaginative use of music and magic, and the interesting "sidekick" characters kept me entertained throughout.
Parents, please be aware that this series is NOT for children, as it contains adult situations and graphic scenes.

Continuation of the series. Haydon's storytelling remains interesting.

A promising series. The first 2 books have been good. I now eagerly await the third.

I enjoyed the spell lore of this book, and the way it make music and folklore a major part of the story

Book 2 of the RHAPSODY series by Elizabeth Haydon. It's enjoyable, but it's far from a perfect novel. Haydon is obviously a new writer, and I would wager a young woman. The book is geared more towards teen/20something women than males, but that doesn't mean it's not enjoyable - it certainly is. Read the first book first, and if you like it, then move on to this one. There are interesting characters (mainly not the main char, IMO) and the way magic works is interesting, and the world is pretty neat. I wouldn't quite call this "fluff", but it's maybe only one step above. Enjoyable, interesting, but flawed.

Book two of four (so far) in an EPIC FANTASY series. If you've read the first (Rapsody) you know what to expect. The saga continues, with trials, travails, love found, love lost. Not as good as the first, but still worth the effort.
