Short, and to the point!
It's a short read and one that holds your attention. I didn't want to set the book down. It's more of a crime murder than a whodunit mystery ... as who know who's murdering who. I look forward to seeing the movie now.
A classic, not to be missed!
I've read almost all the James Cain novels and this one is probably my favorite (Mildred Pierce running a close second). He really is a master of this genre. A scandalous story about lust and murder. Highly recommended.
I do not really like hardboiled detective fiction, and like is the wrong word to describe my response to The Postman Always Rings Twice. Rather, likeable or unlikeable, this book is unforgettable.
