I really enjoyed reading this book after seeing the movie. Yes, it is about Mike who made lots of mistakes like many people do. It was sad that he had such a poor opinion of himself, considering he was a brilliant man. I would have liked reading more about Philomena though. Anyway, it is a quick read. Enjoy!

The book was well written. I found myself being very upset with Mike as he made such terrible life choices for being such an intelligent man. I am not homophobic but his seedy lifestyle was so distasteful. What a waste of a brilliant life.

This book was more about the son and I just wasn't that interested in his many love affairs. I was highly disappointed as I wanted to know more about Philomena and how she coped with life after she left the covenant and lost her son. Very disappointed and am going to destroy my copy...just don't want to even pass it on.
