Chapters from his book read by the author. He traveled to the last remaining parts of the British Empire to find out if the people on these remote islands really felt British and how well (or not) the government of Britain administers these outposts. Combines travel journal style writing, history and geography, and some social/political comments as well. Easy to follow. Some details may be dated (written in the 1980s) but I learnt a lot about how far the rule of the Brits still extends across the globe.
