This is the second Next book that I've read. I've been thrilled with both of them, and I'm not a romance reader! This one is about three middle aged women who are having men problems. They decide to take a road trip to a class reunion in their hometown of New Orleans. What happens next could happen in your life, it's so realistic. It was relaxing to read about women getting bigger, going through menopause, having marriages turn blah and basically things that happen in real lives instead of a trumped up version of life. Certainly not the trashy (while there are a few sex scenes) Harlequins that we snuck from my aunt when we were kids.

Three forty-something best-friends women take a road trip back to their hometown of New Orleans to look up their old boyfriends. Pretty predictable (no surprises), but beautiful women stretching for maturity with sexy men hanging around can't be all bad.

Remember you high school "beau" ? Cat, Bitsey & MJ do. After mid life crises in their lives these three "grits girls" decide to go back to New Orleans in search of their elusive youth. How are those good ole boys they left behind ? What will the trip reveal about each of them ? Is the roadtrip everything they hpes it would be ? !!
