I really enjoyed this book! It read like I was watching an action movie- I had a hard time putting it down. I loved the relationship between John and Jenna.
My one complaint with this book would be its ending. I would have much preferred a cliff-hanger type ending for this book than one that was all tied up in a pretty little "happily-ever-after as long as the threat stays away" bow. I wanted more build-up about what Jenna and John would do to fight the growing threat. I really look forward to reading the next two in this series.

I really didn't like John. He was an asshole for most of the book. He does become less of an asshole, but I thought it was a little too quick. I did like Jenna, she does stand up to the Ass. I'm not sure if it's just me, but I thought the ending was rushed a bit too much. The epilogue helped. I liked the premise and am curious to find out more about this new world (or should I say, this new Dark Age)

I was a bit reticent starting this one, but I'm glad I took a chance on Nightfall. The book is very fast paced and action packed. It turned out to be a great novel, a real page turner, and I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.

I kept putting off reading this series because I wasn't sure I would get into it. Boy, am I sorry I waited. I loved this book! I'm already reading the 2nd in the series and it's only gotten better. I'm already sorry that there are only 3 in the series.
This is a really interesting take on a post-apocalyptic world.

A different read and yet awesome in my opinion. I love the world the author shaped and each characters role. I also liked the different magical/paranormal things that took place and the ending can you say WOW! Loved it! I mean it just had the perfect ending that I like not leaving me on some edge wondering where the chararcters go from here feeling it left me with a since of fullfilment in their lives.

The cover made me think it was a bodice-ripper and the synopsis seemed more urban fantasy than dystopian. It's been on my shelf at home FOREVER.

I really liked this book. It basically chronicles the start of the Dark Age where all technology fails and horrible beasts hunt the survivors. We follow one of these groups of survivors as they try to survive the change and adapt to the new world.

This book is dark and gritty with very little levity but it never felt heavy and oppressive. There was some romance and some sex but not nearly as much as I imagined from the cover.

I enjoyed getting to know the characters and being a fly on the wall in this world.
