The book cover did little to excite me about reading this book, even for someone who loves mystery-type novels. But, it was actually very difficult to put down once I got into it. A good read.

This is a great book in it's own right but even better if you read the series in order to get the secondary story peices too. This is book 5 in the Troubleshooters series about SEAL team 16. I have really enjoyed every book in this series thus far and I am ready to start the next one.

This was my first by Brockmann, but not nearly my last! Sincerely enjoyed this...didn't know it was part of a series until the very end, but I ordered the next one immediately!

I love the series and especially the WWII tie ins. This, however, is not my favorite. I just couldn't buy into the Mike/Joan chemistry. Still... looking forward to the next one.

Into the Night is about a group of Navy SEALs & takes place on a military base. A White House staffer and a SEAL liaison work together to uncover a terrorist plot on this base. Fast moving.

This book continues the Seal team 16 series. It's fast paced, and thrilling. It deals with acuurent terroist attack, and a WW11, story that enterwines. Comes to an exciting climax that leaves you wanting thw next book right now!

This is part of a series about Navy SEALS and I love them. A great series!
really good book, lovable characters, want to read more, always sad when her books end. gotta love those strong troubleshooters! I want one!!!
I really enjoyed this book in the series. As an older woman who wouldn't want to be pursued by a young handsome Navy seal. What a lovely fantasy. Have read almost all of the books in the Troubleshooter series and this is one of the best. Looking forward to the new audio Cds with the two actors telling the story. That works for me as well. They should be out soon.

Mike Muldoon, a born leader - strong, decisive, togh and fearless. Really nice book to read!
White House staffer Joan DaCosta arrives at a California Naval Base to inspect the area ahead of a planned Presidential visit. Lt. Mike Muldoon is assigned as her SEAL liaison to answer any questions or address any problems with the visit. When Mike meets Joan, he is instantly fascinated by her. Joan is not flirty or shy like most of the women are around him. She looks him straight in the eye and tells him what she is thinking. Mike's fascination quickly turns into lust, but Joan quickly puts the breaks on a relationship. She can't believe a good looking 25 year old Navy Seal would falls for a thirtysomething woman who lives clear across the country. Muldoon decides he will conquer her reservations in the few short weeks she will be in the area.
The fifth book in the Troubleshooter series has a lot of good storylines. I love Mike Muldoon. He's such a sweetheart. Joan was fun, but I got tired of her constantly pushing him away. By the time she finally admitted that she wanted to be with Mike, I was starting to get a little bored with their story. But there were many other characters to read about in this book. The WWII story was nice. The couple in the flashback were Joan's grandparents. We got to see the beginning of their relationship, and their current relationship sixty years later.
Another interesting part of the book was getting to know Mary Lou Starrett. She is married to Sam and she is the reason Sam and Alyssa are not together. I wanted to hate her, but I couldn't. I'm hoping we see more of her in this series and she gets a happy ending. Overall, this is a good book worth reading, but not my favorite in the series. My rating: 4 Stars.

I love the way Brockmann's verbal descriptions paint entertaining visuals. It was worth reading, but so far I enjpued reading "The Unsung Hero" most of this series.
