This crime detective novel's intelligently written dialogue keeps you on the edge of your seat. Robert Parker makes you care about the characters without losing the pace of the action.

I've read everything Robert B Parker has written up to and including this book. He continues to deliver with a style all his own and lots of amusing dialogue, although the villian(s) in this offering are not as nefarious as some in his past work. While the Parker style is always fun to read, after a while it can lead to a feeling that he's not putting much into his work any more, just sort of mailing it in.

This is a a good beach read or airplane book - but not so gripping you'd feel too bad if you forgot and left it on the plane.

Like all of Robert B Parker's books - fast moving, full of action and LOTS of humor. He is missed very much.

Easy read - finished it in one 24 hour period. Typical Robert Parker story and it was well worth the time.

Jesse Stone, Chief of Police in Paradise Mass, has his hands full with this one. For starters, High school principal Betsy Ingersol is inspecting the panties of some of her female students. Stone would like to see this principal in court, but her husband is the managing partner of a major law firm. Probably won't happen.
A young teenage girl comes into his office. The poor kid is all upset because her parents are members of a "swingers" club and she wants Jesse to do something about it. Of course, he is not to let on that she had this discussion with Jesse.
Then Jesse is dealing with a peeping tom. The unsuspecting housewives are held at gunpoint and ordered to take of their clothes while he takes pictures with his digital camera. He looks but doesn't touch.
Jesse is still struggling with the bottle
Jenn is off to New York City with her (male) producer. Will she stay in the big city, or will she be back?
Sunny also makes a brief appearance.
Are are all these scenarios related? Does Jesse take care of all the bad guys?
A very quick and humorous read. Jesse Stone fans will not be disappointed.

Parker at near his best. A book of tight dialogue, that leaves readers to fill in the nonessential details according to their own imagination. Smooth, like a good single malt.

How can you not like Jesse Stone? Laid back, sharp wit, and good looking (Tom Selleck) on the trail of a peeping tom but also connected to the swingers that he just now found out about. The dialogue is so easy to keep this going until the end.
