Heard so much about this series lately, I had to try one. It was cute, as everyone says. Was not the deepest book I've ever read, but it was entertaining enough to make me want to sneak it into work in my purse to find out what happens to the castaways (i.e. if they ever breakdown and get it on) during my lunch break.

This is actually the first one in her Nerd series, but they all have different characters, so no need to read in order. Light humerous book that keep me laughing, and enough steamy parts that hubby wanted me to "keep reading that book!"

Vicki Lewis Thompson is one of my favorite Harlequin writers. Her "nerd" series, NOT published through Harlequin, is a great idea. The books are different, not typical romances with everyone being beautiful and perfect. This particular book is funny and witty and the writing is sharp. It's a perfect vacation read.

What a fun read! I wasn't expecting this to be such a perfect airplane book; I'd expected cliches and predictability. Sure, I got some, but I also got the best darn Southern drawl/twang/dialect I think I've ever read.

A cute story plot with two people stranded on a small island off Hawaii...He's a nerd (glasses and mismatched clothes and all), she's a beautiful woman. He'd always had the hots for her, she only had eyes for their boss, who ends up betraying her.

Another hillarious installment in the Nerd romances. I couldn't stop laughing between inheriting Elvis' underwear from granny, teenage hair expression (dyed in the colors of the flag to show patriotism), quaint sayings from Appalachia (Kiss my Grits) and the psychic hide and seek game...

This is the third book I've read in this series and I really like it. I didn't like her "Hex" series at all so I wasn't too certain about this one. I love the characters, even the side ones are cool. It's fun and a little silly. I didn't care for Genevieve at first because she is rather shallow, but of course she gets better as the book progresses. Great character development. Fun and light to read.

And, even though we know how this kind of story ends, I doubt the couple (if they were in the real world) would even last. There just isn't much passion between them and it felt very dry. She's also trying to constantly change the guy instead of being willing to meet him halfway. Call me a cynic, but I've seen too many relationships of people I know end, because one person keeps trying to change the other and have them give up the things they love.

This is a fun story about a nerdy guy in love with a beautiful woman who, thankfully, is down-to-earth and comes to accept him. It is a fanciful tale for those of us who aren't mainstream and are often overlooked, but have plenty to offer in a relationship. I find that so many stories revolve around beautiful people that it is hard to relate. This is a nice story of everyday folks finding each other and falling in love during extraordinary circumstances. We all have the potential of being someone's "Nerd in Shining Armor." Check this one out! I think you will enjoy it.

This was a cute book. I loved that almost the whole story took place on a little island outside of Hawaii. Living in Hawaii, I didn't even know this island existed. But as I read on, I found out what it was... Very interesting to have to read a book titled "Nerd in Shining Armor" to learn something new about the place I've grown up.
VLT always makes me laugh and I have a hard time putting down this book to do the mundane things in life, like laundry! :)

I have always had a thing for nerds, so I was really excited to find this one. It was pretty good at first, but after a while, it just felt like it was dragging on a little bit. But, I will continue to read the series since each book is separate and not a continuation on the last.

I liked this book. It has a different setting, a small island in the Hawaiian chain of islands. Good beach read, for sure. Secondary characters are interesting and unique. Story line, while containing no big surprises, is entertaining. It kept me turning pages through to the end.

No great novel but it was entertaining which is one of the reason I read books. This book is one that I would call trashy since it was all about sex with a little romance mixed in. The setting is a deserted island out by Hawaii. I will read another "Nerd" book by Thompson when I am looking for a fun easy read.
