Michelle Valentine is an American writer and author. Valentine has authored three books, including co-authoring a fictional autobiography about Heather Hunter.

Author and novelist Michelle Valentine has been a part of the entertainment industry for the majority of her life in many capacities. She has done jingles, radio, theater, film and television and has now cultivated her love for writing. Beating out hundreds of hopefuls, in the 1990s Valentine was chosen to help revive the 80s—90s pop group The Cover Girls. Although the group was already in existence prior to her arrival, Michelle not only gave the group new life as the lead vocalist, she also wrote the title track of the CD, entitled 'Here It Is', igniting her passion for writing. Her affinity for the craft not to be subdued, Michelle went on to graduate Cum Laude from Marymount College, earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Arts, while minoring in Marketing and Creative Writing. During her undergraduate studies, she wrote and edited stage plays for the college’s drama department, wrote for the campus newspaper, hosted a radio advice show and created music video treatments. As a writer, she has freelanced for several magazines, contributing stories on celebrities such as Beyonce and Snoop Dogg. As a natural progression, Michelle subsequently embarked on a career as a novelist. Her first book, written in 2002, quickly caught the eye of New York Times bestselling author Zane, and was ultimately published by her Strebor imprint through Simon and Schuster. Pushing the meter further, Michelle went on to co-author the Essence best selling fictionalized autobiographical epic entitled Insatiable with adult film star Heather Hunter before St. Martins Press went on to publish her sophomore effort, A Girl’s Gotta Eat. Additionally, she has recently completed her fourth novel, entitled The Year it Snowed in April, which is currently slated for a Fall 2009 release also by St. Martin’s Press. Determined to explore every aspect of the craft, Michelle recently penned her first screenplay and television sitcom project, both of which are currently being considered for production. Taking her career to the next level, Michelle is spreading her wisdom and experience to new authors, recently establishing The Epitome Group, LLC, a boutique literary agency that represents unique authors with a focus on cultivating and preparing writers for the incredible publishing and writing experience. A natural born writer of many genres, Michelle is excited to introduce her unique way with words to readers all over the world. With her gift for creating projects that entertain and enlighten, she remains focused and grounded, spiritual and true to herself. In a world that often tells us what we cannot do, Michelle has proven that the sky is truly the limit.

Valentine graduated from Manhattan's Marymount College with a degree in Speech, Drama and Communication. She grewup in New York City to a single mother involved in the entertainment industry. By age 3 she became a regular on Sesame Street.

Among her favorite authors are Eric Jerome Dickey and Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez. Some of her best movies are Baby Boy, The Notebook and Menace II Society.

In 2007, Valentine founded The Epitome Group, LLC, "an independent publishing house as well as an agency that represents other authors."
