This is a love story between Angus McKettrick's descendant, Meg McKettrick (daughter of Holt), and Brad O'Ballivan, retired country singer from Stone Creek. In this book, there are small references to Angus' sons, and you'll see Meg interact with their descendants. It was a nice romance, and I enjoyed reading about Angus as a ghost, haunting Meg & shooting advice at her. His headstrong personality hasn't changed since the days when he was alive!!

I love, love, love the McKettrick Books!!!!! This was not my favorite of them. but certainly not THE WORST. (Shotgun bride was! ) A good read but not the very best. I loved the Idea of the Ghost, but I think it fell a bit short. Having Angus soooooo much younger then we knew him in past books kind of made it hard to connect with him. Good Book, worth reading if you have followed the series you will enjoy.

I really wanted to like this book. I found it at best, only OK. Ms. Miller is a better storyteller than this. I was glad that I did not buy this book new.

Meg McKetterick longs for a baby--husband optional. Perfect father material is gorgeous Brad O'Barrivan, old flame and new owner of his familys ranch in Stone Creek. But Meg--as strong, proud and stubborn as her ancestors on Indian Rocks Triple M Ranch--wants to do things her own way......... the McKetteric way. And Brad feels as strongly about the O'Ballivan way.
Love, marriage, babies and a lifetime to share--that's what Brad wnts. Not a single night of passion, an unexpected pregnancy and a a woman who won't budge. For arugged rodeo cowboy who never gives up. it;s a battle of wills he intends to win....and nothing matters more tha claiming Megs wild McKetteic heart
