I enjoyed reading this book. It helped me understand more of what Martin Luther's life was like in that time period. He made sacrifices and suffered to help give us the freedom of worship we enjoy today.
As a lifelong Lutheran, I was eager to read this fictionalized story of Martin Luther meeting his wife Katharina von Bora, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The main characters, based on actual people, were fully developed, and although I knew the eventual outcome (thanks to history) the story was suspenseful throughout. The love story is moving as well. My favorite aspect of the book was the author's dedication to her father, a Lutheran pastor.
