Luke Welling (born October 29, 1972) is a software engineer, the author of popular technical books and a frequent conference speaker.
He was born in Birmingham and spent most of his life in Melbourne, Australia but currently lives in Maryland, near Washington, D.C. with his wife Laura Thomson and is employed as a Web Dev Lead by Message Systems. In 1996 he graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Science. He was a one-time instructor at RMIT University, and has worked for MySQL AB and Hitwise.
