Two stories of two male architects that have their own firm and fall in love. You can't call them "short stories" because they're actually mini-novels. The first one is "LOVING JACK" and should have been shortened by at least 100 pages. It's simply a love story that's 236 pages in small print. Not much else going in the plot, either. (It's alot of "he was thinking this..." and "she was thinking that...")
The second story is "BEST LAID PLANS" and I enjoyed it alot more. It centered around a romance, but it had more action and a story line in it's 240 pages than the previous one.
If you're a Nora fan, you'll find at least the second story enjoyable. And, while the first one is littered with the main character's attempt to write her first novel (sound like a familiar story-line??), it beats watching reruns on t.v.

This book contains two vintage Nora Roberts stories. The two books aren't exactly a series, but in Loving Jack characters are introduced who appear in Best Laid Plans. Nora Roberts love stories never disappoint, and these two are no exception. Love triumphs in the end.

I truly enjoy Nora Roberts books. Both stories are more light heart-ed and feel good. They are early stories and do not have the added mystery story line.
