Neat Almanac for everyone - as a grandparent and volunteer story reader in elementary school it has been most useful for me. Did you know the Oz author L. Frank Baum was born on May 15, 1856 or that August's flower is a poppy or that Leif Erickson Day is October 9?

Although I am not a teacher and this is a teacher's almanac, it is a powerhouse of information for anyone. It is geared for the elementary school crowd but it was very interesting reading for me as an adult. Full of people, places, events, dates, and fun facts.
