I liked this book but not as well as Lumley's Necroscope series. I found that I cared nothing about the characters and while the story was entertaining it did get a little boring in places. Maybe if the book had been a trilogy with more about the life of the main character I would have loved instead of just liked the book. Then again maybe not.

This is the EPIC tale of a privledged child in an ancient land and his rise to power as a commander of the armies of Kush, his soul journey to another lifetime, and his quest for revenge against the mad Pharoah who destroyed his family. This one's a real page turner especially if you have an appreciation for long-forgotten civilizations.I lost some sleep reading Khai Of Khem because I simply couldn't put it down. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
