"Tough times helped many commodities producers become lean and mean through consolidation, mergers and cost-cutting. All that excess supply has been sopped up." -- Jim Rogers
James Beeland Rogers, Jr. (born October 19, 1942) is an American investor and financial commentator based in Singapore. He was a co-founder of the Quantum Fund and is a college professor, author, economic commentator, and creator of the Rogers International Commodities Index . Rogers is an outspoken proponent of the free market, but he does not consider himself a member of any school of thought. Rogers acknowledges, however, that his views best fit the label of Austrian School of economics.
