Jill Bialosky was born in Cleveland, Ohio and is an American poet.

She studied at Ohio University and received an M.A. in Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins University, as well as an M.F.A. from the University of Iowa. She is the author of the poetry collections, The End of Desire, Subterranean, and Intruder, published by Alfred A. Knopf. Her poems have appeared in journals such as The Paris Review, American Poetry Review, The Kenyon Review, The New Yorker, and The Atlantic Monthly. She is also the author of two novels, House Under Snow and The Life Room, and is an editor at W. W. Norton. She lives in New York City with her husband and son.
