Irish Hearts is a trilogy once again where all characters find true love and all the men are beyond masculine and the independent women still suffer from codependence, but somehow, all's well in the end. Appropriate guilty pleasure for the beach!

THis contains two complete novels and form the first and second story in Nora's Irish Trilogy. The first story is Irish Thoroughbred and is the author's very first book. It's the story of Adelia Cunnane...the Irish hothead that squares off against Travis Grant, the powerful and rich horse-racing magnate. Watch the sparks fly! The second story is IRISH ROSE and it's the tale of her cousin, Erin McKinnon, also from Ireland. She agrees to come to the United States to keep up the books for Burke Logan, another powerful and rich horse stable owner. However, Erin is concerned that with the heat between the two of them, her employer might want her duties to include more than just bookkeeping. Both stories are enjoyable and well worth the read.

This includes Nora Roberts' very first novel, Irish Thoroughbred. She is a fine, fine author, and her books are incredibly genuine. Although they contain some intimate moments, she is gentle in her approach. She does not include vulgar language, either, at least in her earlier novels. I need to read some of her current works, but her writing style is what draws me to her books.

Had I read these novels in the 80s, when they first came out, I would have enjoyed them much more. This book, comprised of both stories, is still an enjoyable, light, romantic read but, 25 years down the road , encounters that might have seemed romantic and sort of 'sweep-you-off-your-fee' now just comes across as aggressive sexual harrassment !

Not bad but not great - You can tell they were her freshman novels. A little predictable, a little slow moving but an overall sweet, love story through both of them. I did enjoy how they tied together with characters and how the newer addition to make it a trilogy looks into the future. I don't think I like it enough to find it and read it though...

I like this series. As her first it's interesting to compare to her later sets. It was captivating to the point that I stayed up way to late 2 nights in a row and finished the book... Didn't pace it so that the next one would be here, now I have to wait!!

This was a good story that continues into the next novel. The story was well written and is for anyone who like to read romance novels with a little twist to them. Good reading.

this is a fun light hearted early book of NR. The characters are fun and easy to like. They are quick and easy reads. I enjoyed.
It was very interesting seeing the style of writing in the first half of the book (titled Irish Throroughbred) as it is Nora Roberts' first book ever published. If you are an avid fan of hers, you can see the difference of this book compared to her newer ones. Very good stories, and I'd recommend to anyone who is a Nora Roberts fan.

Two very good stories! Irish Thoroughbred and Irish Rose
Irish Hearts was a great read! Both stories in this novel revolve around raising horses and racing them. The first story is about Travis and Adelia "Dee". I just loved this couple right after the first chapter. Dee is a feisty Irish lass and her temper turns Travis on even more. This couple is hilarous! The second story is about Burke and Erin. Burke is so laid back and wants Erin so much he will do anything to have her, but he doesn't realize he has fallen in love with her. He never lets her know his true feelings. Both stories in this novel are wonderful! I don't know much about horses, and was surprised to find myself cheering for the horses at the races. Both couples our so easy to like and you can feel yourself losing yourself in their stories. I'm looking forward now to starting the next novel to go with this book. It is called Irish Rebel and it picks up with Travis and Dee's daughter, Keeley. Hope all enjoys Irish Hearts as much as I did!
