Another fast paced thriller with characters who are quickly becoming my friends! The premise of the Wicca and mystisism is not my thing, but it flowed nicely and there were so many other things going on that it was an easy read.

J.T. Ellison fans won't be disappointed in this book. The twists and turns will keep you up long past your bedtime! She offers insight into a subject I knew nothing about. Better her than me doing that research!

The Immortals is the latest book by J.T. Ellison and it is another winner. Ellison always does her research and she definitely did it for this one.

The Immortals has two story lines going throughout the book. First, we find recently reinstated Lt. Taylor Jackson dealing with a gruesome case of eight teenagers being killed and pagan symbols being carved into their flesh. Who would do such a horrible thing?

Second, we have her fiancé Special Agent John Baldwin being called back to DC to defend a previous case that has some irregularities involved. Will Baldwin lose his job? This is a question that constantly is on his mind as he recounts the case to the oversight members.
The thing that I love about Ellison's pieces of work is that she is the master of research. This book dealt with witchcraft, vampires, and pagan religions and taught me a lot about these subjects. She has a way of creating characters that you can relate to or find appalling.

The reason I am giving it 4 and not 5 stars is that I did not like the back and forth stories between Taylor and Baldwin. I felt discombobulated at times going back and forth. However, I truly enjoyed both stories.

I would highly recommend any of Ellison's books and this one is at the top of my recommendations.

I generally like her books in the Taylor Jackson series but this one just did not cut it - - - as I am not into witchcraft.....vampires and pagan rituals!!! Really had to force myself to get to the end of this book!

Halloween turns into a nightmare when eight teenagers are murdered. It will take all of Lieutenant Taylor Jacksons resources to uncover the killer.

Lieutenant Taylor Jackson, in charge of the homicide division, has her hands full. The night of Halloween, Samhainthe Blood Harvest, she is called to the location of a murdered teenager. While investigating the scene, she is called to another teenage homicide, and then another, a total of eight. All are teenagers with carvings of pentagrams on their chest, and what seems to be caused by a drug overdose.

FBI profiler Baldwin, and also Taylors fiancé, wants to help with the investigation, but is abruptly called in to headquarters for questioning. A case from years ago has recently had new information come to light and Baldwins job is on the line. Hell have to decide which information is relevant and which is best kept a secret and hope for the best.

A local witch comes forward with information that could potentially lead Taylor and her team to the killers. Taylor soon finds herself immersed in the occult and mystical, and even though she doesnt believe in it, she finds some of the knowledge believable. With the help of her team and the witch, Taylor begins to unravel the mystery of the massive murders and hopefully bring the perpetrators to justice.

THE IMMORTALS is J.T. Ellisons best work yet in the Taylor Jackson series! Jam packed with action, complex character, and a stunning plot, THE IMMORTALS will have you up late turning the pages. Learning more about Baldwins past in this installment gives his character more depth and the reader understanding of some of his past actions. Also, it is great to see Taylor back in charge. Mystery, suspense and thriller lover wont want to miss this one!

First, J.T. Ellison is one of my favorite authors. Her first three books were the BEST. The Immortals is also a very good book. The only negative thing for me is that there is too much about vampires and that sub-culture. This is just a personal thing for me. Although this was not my favorite, I still gave it 4.5 stars.

This will not deter me from reading all of her future books. If you are looking for a new author I highly recommend this one.

Although I've read the other books by Ellison this one I just couldn't get interested in but then I'm just not into vampires much or stuff like that and it just didn't hold my interest long enough to try to finish it.

#5 in the Taylor Jackson series. With Fitz still missing, The Pretender still on the loose, & Baldwin having to be back in Quantico, Taylor is overrun with a new murder. 7 teenagers in one neighborhood. Sifting through evidence, motive, & the occult has Taylor & McKenzie trying to figure out the who's & whys while trying to keep an open mind on the witchcraft aspect. Meanwhile, the book delves into Baldwin's background & an old case involving him & Charlotte. Not as good as the other books in the series. Too much occult & witchcraft mumbo jumbo.
