I really enjoyed this book. Nancy Thayer made her characters appealing and entertaining. They made me feel as though I was myself a member of the club. This book should be interesting to the 50 and above crowd. On the other hand, it should also be appealing to anyone interested in being a true blue friend to others who share an interest in their lives. I am looking forward to continue reading the rest of the books in this series.

I enjoy a good laugh and expected to get it with this book. While it brought out some humorous moments, I didn't find this a particularily side tickling book. In fact, as an unofficial member of HFC I identified with every one of these 4 women in one way or another. It seems that the author has been living inside my body without my permission! I'll read more about the HFC but not for the humor - but for some insight!

One of the best books I have ever read. If you are in the "over 40" age group, this is a must read!

This book is wonderful, wittty, inspiring and funny! If you are going through the "hot flash" time in your life you will enjoy this book even more and perhaps learn some secrets as to getting through these difficult times in our lives with more of an open mind & brighter out look on life! I have just recently started reading books by this author and find her books so far to be excellent!

Four women of a "certain" age meet, form the Hot Flash Club, and help each other in the realization that they can have it all. I can't wait to read the second book in this series.

Can't wait for the 4th book. Love the series. Made me laugh and then made me cry.
this whole series is GREAT! for any age! good quick read!
The beginning of a series about 4 women that form an impromptu 'support group'.They develop great friendships and solve each other's problems. Women over the age of 35 will relate to the characters.I wish we had a local 'Hot Flash Club'!!
a cute read- I loved meeting the women in this book and hope to read more about them in a sequel
Good story... loved the interactions with the women and the lives that they are intertwined with
Fun read

What a fun book! It's full of the secrets and insights which make women's friendships so meaningful. Can't wait to read the sequel.
Very entertaining! I'm looking forward to reading the second book in the series - The Hot Flash Club Chills Out.
I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the next one.
Something a little different than the regular romance...it's about older women and their lives...good book!
Enjoyable book 4 about women who are feeling over the hill. They meet at a party and decide they have a lot in common and they form the Hot Flash Club. They each have a problem and they decide to help each other. One found her husband and a with a grad student, and they were not studying, one is overwhelmed about her company merging with another and fears a younger woman is after her job, one wants to open up a resort and the other one's daughter's husband is having an affair with his secretary.
At first I was skeptical of this book thinking that it was going to be full of moaning about menopause and the hassles of aging and as a 30-something I wouldn't be able to relate. I was pleased to find that there was an entertaining (albeit predictable) storyline - the ages and experiences of the women were, in the end, a nice change from the standard heroine. I'm even considering reading the sequel!
Best friends through thick and thin, these characters have great fun, even in the "hot flash" moments of their lives!
I LOVED this book! I hope I get the sequel soon. It reminded me of "The First Wives' Club". I would love it if they made it into a movie.
Very quick read about 4 women who become friends and name their group the Hot Flash Club. All four find a way to help one another with specific problems and get together weekly to compare notes. When I was convinced nothing bad would befall these women, things did go wrong for them. This was a very positive and uplifting story about the power of friendship.
This was an excellent book, one ladies in their fortys and beyond can relate to...I loved it..can't wait to read the next one
Oh this was so funny.
Very entertaining -- Four women starting the journey through menopause.
A must read for every pre and post menopausal woman!

Funny and heartwarming look into new friendships between four women in their early fifties to early sixties.
Loved the characters. Identified with Faye from page one and then found myself in bits of the other women. Action happened a bit fast for plausiblility but, hey, it's a novel. Loved it.
I am now a Nancy Thayer fan! I loved this book and could identify with these women on so many levels. Can't wait to read the second one.
Entertaining, easy read. Not deep, but sometimes we need that!
This was such a fun book and I just fell in love with the characters and all their quirkiness!
Loved it!!!
Funny !!

This was a fun, easy read. There may be a bit too many "extra words", but all in all it kept me coming back, night after night. I could identify with several of the ladies in the book too, and that made it even more interesting.
Wonderfull read - especially for those of us that have reached the age of "hot flashes". :)

Four older women form an unlikely friendship and end up helping each other work through divorce, career setbacks, troublesome adult kids, and the inevitability of vanished youth.
It's not great literature, but it's an easy read with likable characters and a final scene that veers toward French Farce.
This novel sets up a series that one might want to stash for future need, the way one would stash a luxury box of chocolates for a time when decadent self-indulgence is called for.
