Whether I agree with all of Geraldo's conclusions or not, it was well worth getting his view (as an immigrant himself) on how we treat Hispanics in this country compared to other minorities. He shows how the emotions generated by 9/11 magically changed poor, job-seeking immigrants into dangerous potential terrorists, however ludicrous that is. As a media personality he has had close, contact with many anti-immigrant activists with whom he loudly disagrees.

Showing some balance on polarizing issues he concedes that Hispanics have a serious problem with gangs and that Cesar Chavez had reasons for opposing illegal immigration.

I was put off by some of his unnecessarily harsh language.
