I read this book after having decided to take a break from romances for awhile. "It's In His Kiss" was a very satisfying return to the historical romance genre for me. I had been a tad bit disappointed with a few of the previous books in the Bridgerton series but this one delivered. I thoroughly enjoyed the witty interaction between Hyacinth and Gareth - and Lady Danbury...what a hoot! Many laugh-out-loud moments combined with some quite touching scenes make for a very enjoyable read.
I look forward to reading Gregory's story in the future.

This book was an utter delight. Hyacinth is a charming character, stubborn and witty and a lot of fun, and Gareth is all those things too. This is a wonderful and delightful love story, full of banter and charm, but it's also a book about family and family relationships, and I love it to death!

Better than I thought it would be! The sassy heroine is a switch from the moony threatened heroines of the gothics or the typical romance novel, and the hero manages to be tormented and funny at the same time. Neat trick.

Hyacinth is very different from her siblings...very much a free spirit. Lady Danbury introduces Hyacinth to her nephew, a man who estranged from his father and is hiding some things about his past. He asks Hyacinth to help him translate his grandmother's diary, not knowing what it is going to say about the past. This was an enjoyable book, but I didn't think it was as good as the others in the Bridgerton series.

Another classic featuring the youngest of the Bridgerton family. As always Julia Quinn has a great story line, interesting characters enough humor and romance to make this a quick read you won't want to put down til the end! You don't need to read the other books in this series before you read this one but if you haven't yet you will definitely want to!

I so enjoyed this book. The sparkling dialogue made me laugh out loud...I mean with actual belly laughs...and I read it one sitting. Of course, it had it's romantic moments, (nicely steamy, not overly so), and the requisite dashing suitor, secret, and mystery. What more could you ask for from a period romance novel?

After reading so many of this series, I am involved with the entire family. The author puts just enough sadness, along with lots of love and humor that it feels like a real family.
I really enjoyed the story. Love the Bridgerton series.
I did not find this book nearly as engaging as the previous titles in the Bridgerton series. That said, I love the Bridgerton family and anyone who is a fan of the series should read Hyacinth's story.
Another excellent Bridgerton romance from Julia Quinn. I love the characters, pacing and wit of these books, and I can't wait to read them all! You'll find yourself rooting for the happy-ever-after, despite the pitfalls along the way.

enjoyable romance by a consummate storyteller.
Fun, lighthearted read. This is the first Bridgerton book I've read, it was fine out of sequence - just made me want to go back and read the first six books. My only complaint is that Hyacinth is repeatedly described as extremely intelligent but she never says or does anything that demonstrates her genius. I felt like Julia Quinn told us but didn't show us.

A great Julia Quinn book, I like her style. The characters are real and fun to know. You will love the family and all the siblings butting in and tension that picks up in the storyline. The Brigerton series is so fun and just makes you want to be a part of their family. A great read.
