MAGIC DREAMS/Andrews: I don't read this series and felt a little lost with the storyline 2 stars
ICE SHARDS/Galenorn: i have pretty much given up on the series. I keep reading them thinking that it will engage me, but have now decided that I have finished with it. 2 stars
DOUBLE HEXED/Jame: This story takes place between FIREWALKER and SHADOW WALKER. A massive hex/curse has trapped the main characters (Janet, Mick, Maya, Coyote, and Nash) in the hotel. Add a witch, a nightwalker and a shapeshifter for a well rounded crew. The magic mirror is muted by the curse and cannot call for help. Good character interaction. 3.75 stars
BLOOD DEBT/ Stein: Anna is summoned to atone for a "crime" committed in a sanctuary. A human reporter is part of the bargain as he is the brother of one of the witches which helped Anna with the crime. I haven't read the previous books, but will look into them to catch up with the characters. 3.5 stars

Stories did not hold my attention. Ilona's was the best of the four,but not her usual great writing.

Overall a nice selection of novellas.
Magic Dreams: The reason I started reading this book. (I've been on a bit of a "Kate Daniels" bender lately, and dug this one out of my TBR pile to tide me over until book 5 comes in the mail). While neither Kate nor Curran are actually in the story, it's still quite enjoyable reading about Jim and Dali finally getting together. (5 stars)
Ice Shards: I've not read anything in this series before but it was easy enough to follow. A nice quick read. (3 stars)
Double Hexed: Another great enstallment in the Stormwalker series. We get to revisit all of our favorite characters as they try to find a way out of a trap that basically turns all their various magical powers against them. (4.5 stars)
Blood Debt: I haven't read anything else by the author, and I just couldn't get into the story. (2 stars)
