Three blazing HOT stories in one!

All He Wants for Christmas by Jill Shalvis
Cristina is a firefighter whose hot for EMT Dustin. Problem is, she doesn't want anything serious, but he wants commitment. (How's that for fiction!)
I liked this one--Dustin is "geeky" with thick glasses and all and it made me like his character more. Cristina and Dustin are HOT together. I liked the story...it was quick and steamy.

My Grown-Up Christmas List by Jacquie D'Alessandro
Toni isn't interested in firefighters, but Brad lights her fire. She wants to focus on her fledgling flower shop, but Brad keeps coming into the store and distracting her. She finally gives in to one dinner, which turns into more.
This is my favorite of the 3 stories. It is super steamy and is well developed for a short story.

Up on the Housetop by Jamie Sobrato
Lorelei returns to her hometown to face her past--Ryan. He broke her heart in high school and she is trying to let it go and move on. Problem is, he wants her to stay.
My least favorite of the 3 stories. Something just didn't work for me. It was okay, but...

Excellent collection of steamy short stories - Jacquie D'Alessandro's was by far the best of the three, giving a lot of humor and depth to her characters. Jill Shalvis' characters blended right along with the rest of her firehouse series. Jamie Sobrato's story was very short and a bit lacking... if her heroine truly was out for revenge, it was not evident in the story as it unfolded - overall, an A++ volume!

It was okay. Kind of glad I didnt spend money or a credit on it.

Surprisingly Jill Shlaviss All He Wants for Christmas was the worst one of the three. I got the book because I usually like her stuff. But I found the story lacking and the characters flat. Cristinas hesitancy was annoying and she was so slow on the uptake. I was kind of glad when Dustin finally ditched her and dont know why he would ever want her back.

I dont remember reading DAlessandro before but My Grown-Up Christmas List was cute. Its very similar to the first story but the characters were better developed.

Up on the Houstop was promising. Ive never heard of Jamie Sobrato and wonder if she was a new writer. She writes like someone who wasnt very experienced but it was still a fine story. The ending was really lame and some of the parts felts sparse but I enjoyed it.

For a series on firefighters based in the same town, I was disappointed there wasnt more of a connection between the three stories. At the same time the stories were too much alike that I was getting bored when I got to the third one.

Not a bad read for a library find but thats it.

Good stories, even though you know how the books will end from the first few pages. Quick read. Sexy.
