If You've Got It, Haunt It is the first in the new a Haunted Vintage Mystery series. Meet Cassandra "Cookie" Chanel who has moved to Sugar Creek, Georgia and opened a vintage clothing boutique, It's Vintage Y'all. Cookie loves everything vintage; clothes, jewelry, accessories music and the 1948 red Buick convertible she inherited from her Grandmother.

Cookie is looking forward to attending the estate sale of wealthy real estate mogul Charlotte Meadows, who was murdered two weeks ago. Charlotte was well known throughout the community for her fashion sense. On arrival at the sale Cookie is happily browsing through the racks of one of a kind clothes when she is accosted by a middle aged woman, impeccably dressed in Dior pantsuit and Jimmy Choo pumps. Having had to deal with other zealous bargain hunters in the past Charlotte isn't too worried about claiming her finds until she realizes that she's the only one who can see and hear the woman - it's Charlotte.

Charlotte claims that she has been murdered and implores Cookie to help find her killer. Charlotte attaches herself to Cookie and the adventures begin. Charlotte is pushy, a non stop talker and absolutely drives Cookie nuts. Forever being caught talking to the invisible Charlotte in public, Cookie begins to worry about her reputation amongst the townspeople.

Cookie enlists the help of her friend Heather, who happens to own the Occult Shop next door. But, it turns out that Heather can't see or communicate with Charlotte as she's not really a psychic. Enter a gorgeous stray cat that Cookie names Wind Song, after her Grandmother's favorite perfume, who does have psychic abilities offering up clues through the Ouija board and Tarot cards.

While Charlotte didn't have a lot of enemies she is able to identify at least 3 people that she was having problems with before her death. As Cookie begins to investigate the 3 suspects things go from bad to worse when she stumbles over the dead body of a man in the alley. Next, she becomes a suspect in the eyes of the hunky Detective Valentine, or does he have a romantic interest in Cookie? Not to mention the mysterious men in the dark sedan that keep following her around.

The murderer is very easy to identify (actually within the first couple of chapters), but the hilarious conversations and interactions between Cookie and Charlotte will lead to some laugh out loud moments and people might look at you funny if you are reading in a public place. The writing is simple but definitely draws you into the relationships between Cookie and her friends.

I really hope that even though Cookie finds Charlotte's killer, that unlike other ghosts who find their answers, Charlotte sticks around for the next installment. Not to mention what will develop between Cookie and Detective Valentine?

Interested in vintage fashions? And cozy mysteries? This is the book for you. Oh, and let's add a bit of paranormal; Charlotte, the murdered socialite is hanging out with Cookie Chanel, the owner of a vintage clothing boutique, to find out who her murderer is. Love the fashion tips preceding each chapter. Suspenseful enough to keep me hanging on to find out Who Dun It?

I remember distinctly what I was wearing the day I first came face-to-face with a ghost.

This is the first book in the Haunted Vintage Mystery Series. Cassandra "Cookie" Chanel has opened a vintage clothing store in the small town of Sugar Creek, Georgia. Cookie suddenly discovers that she can see ghosts when she attends an estate sale at the home of deceased socialite and real estate mogul, Charlotte Meadows. Charlotte decides that Cookie will find her killer and solve the murder.

Soon after acquiring Charlotte, a cat shows up at Cookie's shop. The cat, named Wind Song after Cookie's grandmother's favorite perfume, shows some remarkable skills. Cookie's friend Heather runs the local occult store but must admit that she is not psychic when confronted by Charlotte. However, Wind Song quickly shows that she can use a Ouija board and begins communicating with Cookie.

The murder of a private investigator spurs Cookie to delve more into Charlotte's death. Her mettling puts her in several awkward situations with handsome Detective Dylan Valentine coming to her rescue just in the nick of time.

Interesting beginning to a series. We don't learn why Cookie can see ghosts now as opposed to a childhood talent. I enjoyed the vintage clothing tips and Heather's tips for corralling the ghost are funny. I look forward to reading more in the series.

Enjoyable read- I liked the 2 main characters (one human and one ghost). Started off a little slow with regards to investigating the ghost's murder, but then picked up. However it was pretty easy to figure out who the killer was. I will definitely read the next one in this series.
