I liked this book so much I read it twice. Parker takes the facts of the Wyatt Earp story vis-a-vis Tombstone, Ariz. and the "Gunfight at the OK Corral" and fills in the gaps with speculation. It reads like a novel, but the gist of it is true.

A brillant and evocative novel set against the hardscrabble frontier life of the West, featuring Wyatt Earp.

Robert B. Parker is a genius with smart remarks. I chuckle as I read the dialog in these books. They are quick reads and you will not be able to put them down. I recommend you read them in order, as they branch from one another.

Great departure for Robert Parker! Wild, Wild, West, gunmen, outlaws, cowboys! Great fund.

Robert Parker goes Western with a new and different look at Whatt Earp and Tombstone, AZ. A new slant on an old story and well told by Parker.

I am a big Spenser fan, but I don't care for Westerns. I did not expect to like this book, but I did, very much.

They must've made the movie Tombstone with Kurt Russell from this book, quite a few differences but still enjoyable.

This was a nice diversion from Parker's usual PI books. The history buff in me really enjoyed it.

Stunning, a real treasure. As good as anything Louis L'Amour ever wrote.

Parker was probably my favorite author. this is quite different than most of his books, but I enjoyed it very much.
