Absolutely loved this book, the first time I read it was week of my father's death. I helped me so much more than any counselor ever could. Marcus is the man you want your daughters to grow up and marry. I highly recommend this book and all the others in this series!!

The whole O'Malley series of suspense / romance is terrific! Seven adults who grew up in an orphanage together "adopted" each other and formed their own family. As adults they legally changed their name to O'Malley, and are tightly bonded. This one is about big brother Marcus, a federal marshall charged with security for a legal convention at which several federal judges are present. Without advance notice, the White House puts one of them on the short list for a new Supreme Court Justice, and Marcus' job grows exponentially more difficult. A judge is murdered, and Marcus must protect the only eye witness of the crime - a charming, politically savvy (female and single!) speechwriter for the Governor of Virgina, whose parents were best friends with the murdered judge. You'll meet all the other O'Malleys, too, and want to read the other five books in the series.

Love this WHOLE series!! I love how they learn to work it out. Life takes work and not just sugar coating. But there is Love and Hope in this book that helps with the Challenges! And there is a constant small thread that includes Jesus's strength and Love! This Series is a Great Read that is a page turner too boot!!

This one is better than the first. Very suspensful. Nice love story. Great struggle with "Why God?" and ultimately trusting God with everything.

I am so glad I stumbled upon this series. It reinforces basic christian principles without hitting you over the head with them. It incorporates them into a suspenseful love story that keeps your attention the entire book. I am ready to read the next one in the series now!

This is the second book in the O'Malley series. The O'Malley family is comprised of men and women who met and were raised together in an orphanage. They made themselves into a family and all legally changed their last name to O'Malley. Each story can stand alone but they are great reading them in order.

I really enjoy Dee Henderson. A Christian writer, her books are filled with prayer, and NOT with swear words or sex. The stories are griping, and the writing is excellent!

Second in the O'Malley series, we meet and get to know Marcus: US Marshal, good friend, and eldest of the adopted O'Malley clan. When he is assigned to protect a witness to the murder of a federal judge, he finds his law enforcement skills and his heart put to the test. What will happen when a hit man is sent to end Sheri's life?

A romance that also serves as an excellent thriller: recommended!

Book 2 in the OMalley series. The Omalley siblings became their own family as orphans. As adults they are as close as ever. LIfe has been hard but each of them works for the public good. Marcus is a US MArshall assigned to watch over Sheri-a witness to a brutal murder. Marcus soon finds he will risk everything to keep her safe. Sheri soon realizes that she will do anything to make sure Marcus has an eternal future. Life gets in the way...

Another good read by Ms. Henderson. A little predictable, but there's not really much SUSPENSE as it is mostly just a policework/witness protection kind of plot, with the usual romance thrown in. I really like her books because she just works in some very inspirational conversations. Many times her characters are new or recently converted believers or, in this case, a believer going through some very difficult things and doubting God somewhat. I like this series, even if they are a little predictable. The O'Malley's are a cool family.

Dee Henderson's characters and style of writing are very enjoyable. You are drawn in and have trouble putting it down; you definitely want to read the whole series and they get better! My only disappointment was in the first several books of the O'Malley series, she has a Christian fall in love with a non-Christian. While the character does mention several times that the relationship can go no farther, they don't take steps to insure that it doesn't. It's predictable in that the object of their affection will become a Christian and they will get together. A bad example for my girls who I'm training to never date/get emotionally involved with a non-believer, since it usually doesn't have a happy ending and God commands us not to. However, the scenes where the individual comes to faith are exceptional. I have cried through every one. Even though you know it will happen, their honesty with God is moving. The depth of each sibling and how their individual backgrounds cause them to approach faith from different angles are realistic and thought provoking.

This book in the O'Malley series had a great story line and just like the other books, all the characters are very likeable. However, I felt like this book got a little too preachy in spots. I get that this is a Christian series, but in comparison to the others I have read so far, this has been the preachiest. Great story though and well worth reading.

Great story in book #2 of the O'Malley series. Marcus is the main character this time. I love the way she puts romance, adventure and spiritual "flavor" in all her books. Can't wait to read the next one in the series.

The O'Malley series is excellent. I enjoy most of Dee Henderson's books. It is a great suspense novel with just a touch of romance. I don't enjoy romance books. So this was just right. Love that their faith sees them through every trial they face as individuals and family.
