This would have been a 4 star book if not for the abrupt and unsatisfying ending. It almost seems like it was missing a chapter or an epilogue. There were a few good twists, but many you could see coming from a mile away. Also, the author clearly got the premise from a very well known, still unsolved, real life murder case from the 1990's.
The book was really great. Lots of twists and turns. Great characters and plot. The story would've received a 5 star review from me except that ending. Throughout the story we bounce back from past to present. The ending tied up the past but left the present hanging. Didn't care for that but still enjoyed the story enough that I would read another by this author.
I honestly thought that my book was missing the last chapter. I was very disappointed in a story that started out good, but left me hanging, and not in a good way.
