I so enjoy Jennifer Weiner's novels. She makes me laugh as well as feel sad with the twists and turns she weaves into her stories. Her main characters are interesting and multidimensional and always learn something from the lives they lead. I can hardley wait to receive my next novel by her!

This was the first book I've read by Jennifer Weiner. I enjoyed it immensely. It was refreshing for the main character to be an ordinary woman with weight and self-esteem issues. I will definitely read more by this author.

I picked up this book at a half price bookstore and brought it along on a cruise. The cover read "great beach read" and so I thought I'd throw it in the bag for something "light" to switch to if my current book-club book got boring.
I couldn't put it down! I loved getting to know Cannie, the plus-sized main character in this book. She is smart, and funny, and like many of us, doesn't recognize her own value at first. As women, we put so much value on what size we wear that we often down-play and minimize how wonderful we truly are.
As a BBW myself, I was right there with Cannie, feeling shame about my body and feeling that perhaps I should settle for a man simply because he gave me attention. I laughed out loud at her comments in "fat class" to the skinny know-it-all nurse, and got misty as I read her realization that she wanted to keep her baby, with or without a man in her life.

The beginning of the book is ok but drags to the point it makes it difficult to get into. Then it goes to a dark, unhappy place and stays there for too long. However the ending makes up for it and the end result is a relatively decent read. Good for the beach or poolside as it is easy to pick up and put down as needed.

Great book! This was my first Jennifer Weiner book I read and she is now one of my favorite authors. I really felt for Cannie while reading this book. It was refreshing to read about a normal woman with normal weight and body issues that most women face everyday. A great read!

Along the way you get to meet her mom who has come out of the closet, a sister who can't decide what she wants in life, a doctor of a "fat clinic" who befriends her......and he is just her caring doctor, right? It is a humorous and wonderful story of betrayal, of self-reflections, and of Cannie self-analyzing herself and her life and growing because of it. Being a size 16 myself, I can really relate to Cannie Shapiro. I loved to read about her life and feelings. She is a dynamic character and her story, while not a fairy tale, is a very good story about life, loss and love. Very good book!

It took a short while to get into, but glad that I stuck with it. I really enjoyed the book, and the different perspectives it showed of a larger individual's life. She showed a great sense of humor, which was refreshing. One of those books that once started had to finish pretty quickly. So give it a 4 stars!!!

I really enjoyed this book. While not the most challenging read, it is certainly entertaining. The main character Cannie is very funny and sarcastic and even though some of what happened to her during the book was not super-realistic, a lot of it was true to life. It was great to see her really grow up throughout the book. A great quick read.

I am not Jewish nor am I overweight... Yet I found this novel fairly relateable and pretty interesting/entertaining. Extremely well-written, with fully fleshed-out characters. I did find ALL of the Hollywood storyline completely unrealistic, however. But overall, a good escape and a great insight from a talented writer.

While I was reading this book it was very humorous for me to be carrying around a very brightly-colored book titled, "Good in Bed". The title is rather misleading if you aren't reading the book, which brought about many curious questions to my tastes in literature.

I am somewhat surprised that I really liked this book. At first it seemed like a typical chick-lit: a girl crying over her ex-boyfriend and so forth. Towards the end, however, the book took a sudden turn and became an almost a self-help guide on how to re-discover the little things that makes us happy. The whole "you can't change the things that affect your life, you can only change how you react to them" would be something that you'd hear in a therapy session, but presented in this book, in its format, felt more like it was said to you by a very close friend.

This book was an inspiration to any woman who has felt less than amazing because of her physical state or her strange background! I laughed, cried, and felt like the author was writing about MY life in several places throughout the book. It was such a refreshing read - to remind ourselves that life isn't always sunny, but eventually the clouds give way and there's blue sky again! I've read this book at least three or four times now. I'm waiting on the second book with the character Cannie Shapiro now. Can't wait to read it and see where life has taken her now!!

I loved this entire story. There wasn't a point where I felt the author was just writing to keep the story going. I was completely drawn in by the main character, Cannie. You sympathized for her, you were honestly embarassed for her, and you genuinely felt protective over her. A great mix of heart, laughter, and tears.

As a man, I like to read chick books, to help me understand a woman's perspective. I'll admit it, the "Good in Bed" caught me eye too. The author's plot has some surprising good twists & turns. It really helped me to understand how an overweight woman can struggle with her body, & how her body affects her self-image as well as how others respond to her & see her. I think other guy's would also appreciate a good story about a young overweight woman's struggles & joys in her relationships with others.
The Q & A section at the end was good to see who Weiner based her main characters on & why she chose some elements of the plot.

I loved this book. I'm a huge Weiner fan, and for a debut novel for any author her talent for writing shines through. Weiner does a wonderful job of taking you into the mind of a larger girl and makes you laugh all the way through. It is definitely an escapist book with a little substance.

I have to say that this book was a pleasant surprise! Several of my younger friends had read this book over the summer, and I just didn't expect to like it that much. I didn't expect to really like the main character, Cannie, so very much. It's a wonderful story about learning to love who you are no matter what your size. And some of the writing is just down right, raucously FUN!! I laughed out loud on several occasions loud enough that my coworkers were peeking around the corner of my cube to see what got me so tickled! Treat yourself to this book!

This book is better than I expected. I thought it would be a nice, fluff read. Although it was indeed an easy read, it is actually a well-written, insightful and extremely funny book. There is quite a bit about sex -- as is suggested by the title -- but I believe the title is misleading, as the book is more substantive than the title would have one believe. I would say that the book is more about a funny, intelligent girl with a weight problem, who has her share of neuroses and is trying to make her way in this crazy world that we live in.

Good in Bed is the story of Cannie Shapiro an over-weight feisty and humorous reporter. After she initiates a break with her boyfriend of 3 years she reads an article by him in a national magazine about loving a larger woman. The article becomes the catalyst for Cannie to lose weight and get her old boyfriend back. Cannie has many funny and insightful moments which makes her story a pleasure to read.

As a larger woman, I thought that because of size alone, I would relate to Cannie. Truth is, I think any woman can relate to Cannie. Her ups, her downs, her view of her body and her life - she is pieced together by all the women in the world. Her journey, from heartbreak to job success and back again, sweeps you up and refuses to let go until the very end. This book is one of the best I read this year, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

This book was flat-out wonderful. I loved watching Cannie deal with her demons - her absentee father, her cad of an ex, her weight issues, her arch enemy in the newsroom, her well-meaning but quirky friends - and to handle them with real, honest-to-God humanity. This is not a plastic character who bounces back from mistakes like she can handle anything. How refreshing! This is a character who is so REAL, I wished I had her phone number.

Great story! The main character in the book, Cannie, is a plus-sized gal who has regrets about her leaving her boyfriend. An exciting change of events unfolds as she goes through life trying to deal with her loss, her weight, her career. Very intriguing read; I really felt for the her throughout the book.

This is such an endearing book! I loved it! I could not put it down! I cannot wait to read the others she has written. Jennifer is the every woman who is not a perfect size 4, 6 or even 10! I loved it. the story basically starts off with Cannie separating from her boyfriend of 3 years. She finds out that he has written an article about her and its title is no less then "Loving a Larger Woman" can you imagine what life is like after someone actually writes about you like that? Its not enough she has dealt with her size on her own, but to see it in print and have her intimate details out for the world to see! She begins a remarkable journey that doesn't end in the perfect ever after, but still good enough that we can wake up tommorrow encouraged by the fact that it is another day and a new adventure awaits... Its up to you to make it a good or a bad day...

Great book! It was really down to earth and believable. I was laughing and crying thru the book, it became something I didn't want to put down. I would recommend it to anyone who is unhappy with their body, or has ever been in a crappy relationship!
I liked most of the book. I liked the plot, and most of the characters in the story... I just kind of felt that the main character did many stupid things that a normal person would have thought twice about (like sleeping with her jerk of an ex), and Cannie is so caught up in herself and the bad things that were happening to her at the end of the book I kept thinking that she was going to have a complete breakdown, and one of her friends should have put a stop to it sooner. It was frustrating to read as she kept spiraling down further and further in self pitty.

I did not expect to enjoy this book as much as I did. I picked it up mostly because I kept seeing the author's name and so felt obligated to read at least one; I was quite rewarded. Weiner's writing is very clever and snappy, yet it doesn't insult the reader. She makes you care very much for her heroine; Cannie feels very real in her personality and in how she reacts to her situations. Unfortunately, those situations are cliched - not many surprises here - and the supporting characters are quite two-dimensional (the good guys are really good, the bad sympathetic yet unredeeming) and some of Cannie's adventures read more as a daydream than a realistic experience (what you'd want to have happen vs. what would). Give Weiner a truly-experienced story and I'll bet she'd knock it out of the park. Regardless of the minuses, however, I recommend "Good In Bed", a very enjoyable read.

You'll think this is going to be a quick, easy travel or weekend read, but that is not the case. You can't help but be completely sucked into this one from the first page to the last, and in the end, you'll be wishing there was an immediate sequel, you'll be so in love with Cannie. If you are perfectly flawless, you won't relate to this book. The rest of us will most definitely find ourselves hidden somewhere in the pages.

This book was so great! It really kept my interest the whole time. I had to keep reading to find out what was going to happen next. I wish I actually knew someone like Cannie. She was so smart and witty! Loved her sense of humor!!
My only problem with this story that I kept asking myself was "Why does she love this Bruce guy?" He was obviously a pot smoking loser. I just didn't see why she wanted to be with him so much. He wrote such nasty things about her in his magazine column and he obviously didn't love her back. Just never got that aspect of the story. Other than just being insecure about her self and her low self-image and having daddy issues. I just couldn't relate, I guess.

Good in Bed is the first book I finished by Weiner. It was a little slow starting for me. I finally got into it and I actually liked the book. I found it weird that this woman kept calling herself fat. Maybe I miss understood, but I thought she said she was a size 16. I don't think that is fat. I am smaller than a 16, so maybe I don't get it. Other than that, I thought the book was good.

I absolutely loved this book. The main character Cannie was such a breath of fresh air. It was nice to see the main character be a woman who was not perfect looking and had issues with her appearance. I think that most women could relate to her. She was real, honest, and someone that if she was a real person, I would want to meet. This book made me cry, laugh and just get angry, just like Cannie did. I think that anyone who reads this book will enjoy it just as much as I did.

I loved this book! Quick read. At first I thought Cannie was a ... uh ... you know ... the B word, but as I got to know her and her family (can you say Dr. Phil Show dysfunctional?), I understood where she was coming from. Good palate cleansing.

I really enjoyed this book and the story about a woman who is not a six 6, or even size 10. Getting over a jerk of an ex and going on to be successful and find happiness even through a very difficult time was inspiring and interesting reading. Couldn't wait to see what happens next. This is a great chick book and a good, entertaining read. Loved it.

Fantastic book! Made me laugh and made me cry. Could not put this book down! Almost hate... No really hate the idea of reposting this book but it has to be shared. It's that good. As a former larger woman I could absolutely relate to her main character but I believe any man or woman can feel a relation to her pain and joy and enjoy this book!

I thought this would be a light, fun, chic-lit book, but it turned out to have a lot more going on.The main character has some issues and there's quite a bit of exposition on them before we get to the happy ending we know is there. Pretty fun to read, though, overall.

Wildly funny and surprisingly tender. Overflowing with colorful characters, from Cannie's bitchy co-worker to her late in life lesbian mother to her rat terrier dog named after an unmentionable body part. And of course there is Cannie herself-a very real woman whom you'll cheer for right up to the last page.

I love, love, loved this book. It was refreshing to see a heroine who was reflective of my life and experience, and who wasn't a waif. Her problems were those that I have had and struggled with as well, for the most part. This book was wonderful. I laughed and I cried. I look forward to reading more from this amazing author.

Hands down my favorite Jennifer Weiner book. I love everything about Cannie Shapiro; it feels like Jennifer poured her heart and soul into Cannie's character. I have read this book at least 5 times and I love it even more each time. I think it's awesome that Cannie is the kind of woman who takes life on the chin and keeps going. She's an inspiration to me!

Maybe I'm missing something here, or a lot of somethings, but honestly I didn't find this one to be nearly what it's cracked up to be. I read it expecting...Well, y'know, a couple of feel-good archetypes smooshed together, with plot twists to crash into and cry over, but clear up in the face of Cannie's indomitable spirit, and obstacles that I could imagine throwing myself at with determination and good cheer aplenty.

LOL and cried as well in several spots. Being a large woman this book touched many personal awful scenarios for me. Wish I'd read it when I was a young woman so relevant. Now at 72 I can only wish I'd had this example when I was younger.

I love this book. Candice Shapiro is every plus sized woman's hero! Her sharp wit and sense of humor make this book one good read. Jennifer Weiner is an excellent writer and has inspired me to take writing classes. Thanks Jennifer, yet again, for another great book!

This was a very quick read. Some parts are unrealistic and some minor repetitive details took away from the book but overall, it was a humorous and entertaining book. In terms of movies, this is your basic run of the mill romantic comedy.

I made the mistake of trying get through this in audiobook format. Not my best choice. I would bet that this book is easier to get through if you are actually reading a hard copy. However, the narrator in the audio version is so whiny that it made it difficult to listen to. I don't often listen to books on cd because of that very reason. I hope that others have a better experience of this one than I did!
This was by far the best book I had read in a long time! I enjoyed the frankness of the struggles the character went through with family, weight, her age, etc....I read this over 5 yrs ago and have been searching for a book as good since!!@!!

This is a fun book. A light easy read and I would definately suggest reading the follow-up, Certain Girls. There are lots of twists and turns that keep your interest peeked and keeps you thinking about your next chance to sit and read for a while.

Jennifer Weiner's book was actually a popular choice around the office. While this was still a good read she isn't one of my top authors. However, this still has a good storyline.
I've read this book twice before - and it's a fast chick lit read. The ending part with The Pusher gets me every time, though, overall, it is not a book worthy of deep emotions. It is rather implausible and the main character is, well, selfish and just doesn't seem like that good of a person, though she is supposed to be - or maybe it's just that I shouldn't have read this book more than twice because I am nit-picking now. I know I really adored it the first time I read it... and I am still looking forward to the sequel...
Great book about a young woman who finally comes to terms with not only her size, but her self-worth. Will re-read, and have given copies to my sisters. It is not about the character's size or weight, but the fact that she realizes that she is worth morethan previously thought, even though the people that she holds most dear may not realize it.
After several chapters, I could have sworn I'd read this before. I don't know if I had started it once and put it aside or maybe it's the predictability of the plot, but there's a lot of familiar story lines and some pretty unbelievable twists. Unbelievable in that no one's life is that lucky. Guess that's the beauty of fiction! Great for those lazy summer days when you just want to read without thinking much about it.

Cannie, the main character, has an ex boyfriend who writes a column called "good in bed". after she breaks up with him he begins writing columns about her starting with one about what it's like to have a fat girlfriend. she's humiliated as her friends and associates recognize the subject as her. loved it. highly recommend.
At first, I cringed at Cannie's behavior with her ex, her insecurity, her desperation for approval from her father, and was a little put off because I had this notion that a heroine in a novel should be, well...heroic! Better behaved and wiser than myself in ways I aspire to. Then I realized the reason Cannie is so relatable is that she is an everywoman, who makes the same mistakes and thinks the same thoughts as everyone else does. I ended up rooting for her and was sorry the story had to end, although I'm not sure I liked it as well as In Her Shoes. Regardless, a great story by an author who seems to "get it."
Gosh, not quite sure what to say about this book. It took me forever to get into it. The book went on and on about how miserable Cannie is as a "fat" woman. After just 10 or so pages, I was tired of hearing about her being fat. I forged on and ended up finishing the book. By the end, I had a little more sympthy for Cannie and was impressed by her willingness to search for happiness and eventually find it. She was likable By the end of the book.

This was an amazingly written story about a wonderful 'plus' sized woman who goes through a lot. It was a really well written; i cried, i laughed, got pissed, i got happy! All in all I am super happy that I choose this to add to my bookshelf. I just picked up the second on "Certain Girls" and I am already deeply emerged within it's chapters.

This was a pretty good book, but I just couldn't get into it. I can't really pinpoint what it was but there was nothing to keep me from putting the book down. Usually, if a book is good, I can't stop reading it, so in 2-3 days max, I'm done. This book couldn't keep my interest and it took about 2 weeks to finish and even then I was forcing myself.

A truly lovely book, a perfect 'chick' book. Sweet, sad, a great read. You'll start out intending to read a chapter or two, and end up finishing the entire book, you won't be able to put it down.
This book is definitely chick-lit, but it wasn't all light and fluffy like I thought it would be; instead it got pretty deep towards the end, tackling some serious issues. Takes a long time to get going as the main character is pretty depressed and almost whiney. Just as I was ready to give up on it, the book finally kicked off and had a nice story.

This book reminds me of an easy, beach book. However, Jennifer Weiner is not just a fluff writer. Her characters are very in depth. The story takes many wonderful twists and turns. I found myself laughing, smiling, and crying. This book is a fantastic book and what a way for her to begin her great writing career.
I loved this story! Being someone of NOT the supermodel build... Cannie's journey was so true. I know how she felt as I have been there too. Wonderfully written and a good paced book. I so recommend it.

I really liked this book...I actually like everything Weiner writes. Her stories are non-fiction, but at the same time they are stories people can relate to. I found Kat (the main character in this book) to be likeable and very realistic. She is flawed, but still beautiful. Her story made me laugh and cry. This book was great!

This book is wonderfully perceptive and descriptive regarding being plus-sized. Chick lit, but better. Recommended to me by my 70-year-old mom and I recommended it to my 23-year-old daughter.
I find Jennifer Weiner's book fun and easy to read. I become involved with the characters and want to know what's going to happen next. This one kept me going to the end. It's not the kind of book you can't put down, for that you need to read "Water for Elephants" but it is worth reading for something light and fun.
I have read a lot of good things about this author, so I decided to read this book. It started off extremely slow and at point I thought "I just don't want to read this anymore". It was so boring!!! Once I hit chapter 9 and then on after, I couldn't put it down!! It was such a great story from chapter 9 until the end. I wanted to scream, I cried, I got mad, I was happy. It was incredible writing, it was like 2 different people wrote the book because it got amazingly great at the end. That's why I never put a book down no matter how bad I may think it is, it always surprises me how good it can actually get.

What a great easy read and a look into the life of a girl who struggles with her wirht and her relationship. Very funny!

Great book! I was sucked in from the first page, and finished it pretty quickly. Cannie is a relatable lead character, because she is very human, not your average cookie-cutter picture of perfection. This was Jennifer Weiner's first novel, but you wouldn't know it from reading it! She's great at engaging a reader from the very start.

Great beach read!

Very real (sometimes too much so!), yet better than I had expected.
This light-hearted book takes us on a journey through the love life (or lack thereof)of a reporter with screenplay ambitions. The book is written in first person as Candice shares her inner-most thoughts about her ex-boyfriend, Bruce, who is also a writer. Bruce decides to write about their past relationship to all his readers, beginning with an article titled "Loving a Larger Woman". Candice's sense of humor helps to balance many obstacles that arrise. If you want a quick read with a chuckle along the way, this book fits the bill.

Started and finished the book in about 2 days. Once i got into it, I couldn't really put it down. Actually even had me crying (well... tears in the eyes) once...but then again, i'm just a sap.
This is a great, GREAT book. Few books make me cry like this one did, in a really good way! "In Her Shoes" is also a great Jennifer Weiner book.

One of the first books I read by her and I was hooked!
First novel with only a few tiny uneven spots such as the dialog between superstar actress Maxie and Cannie the main character. Gives you enough action without shorting readers on the description. Is really a good romance that has you thinking about how people's childhood experiences affect them forever. Cannie ends up with the good guy in the end but not how you expected it to happen. Highly recommend. You will laugh out loud AND cry.
This book I started to read but it got off so slow that I handed it off to a friend to borrow. After a while I asked if she was actually reading it and she said "Omg you should have kept reading right after the slow part it got so good!" and so I snatched it back and finished reading it. Yes it was good. So much drama in this young lady's (main char.) life it's sad but in the end... well I can't tell you what happens in the end haha!
I got this book after my Mother's Group recommended it and I am glad I did - fun and fast read, Weiner is a likable and realistic character (though her story of success is not typical - though I won't give away what it is!)

This author is great, I love her writing. I laughed many times during this story, but it also deals with serious subject matter and I really start to care about the characters.
This was a fantastic story! My only complaint was how often the narrative would suddenly cut to something that happened in Cannie's past. They were important parts to know, but the transitions weren't always the best.

Loved it. Much more emotional than most "chick lit"
While I preferred "In Her Shoes," this book was a fun, quick read.

Books rarely bring me to cry. This is the second book I've ever read which brought me not only to tears, but heartfelt sobs. Any book that can evoke that type of emotion in me gets my highest rating. A+++++ ! The end was the killer -- about the time the main character was raw and R E A L. The author has definitly walked in these shoes.
My first Jennifer Weiner and I had no expectations except to think this was a common Chik-Lit novel in the same vein of Jane Green or similar. But what I found instead was a very very good, thoughtful read. It is so much more than Chik-Lit. I really enjoyed this and am glad to have read it. I will definitely be reading more by this author.

Title is deceiving..but it is an EXCELLENT book. Cammie and her family deal with complex issues and Cammie's struggle to deal with her plus size body is an excellent reflection of our culture's idolization of the model skin thiness. Fantastic book, especially for anyone that has struggled with trying to fit into the media hype of the perfect body!! And its a great funny read also..:) Warm, loving people.

Weiner's NYT best-selling novel is about a "plus-size" reporter who finds that her ex-boyfriend [also a reporter] is publishing a widely-circulated monthly column about his relationship with a "Larger Woman". Besides the fact that from the first page I was just as outraged as she, some of her ways of thinking and interacting resonated with me and yes, I fell deep into a beach-read. I was skeptical mid-way through, but somewhere along the way I learned to love this book, though that was in no small part because the title freaked my father out.

I've heard alot about Jennifer Weiner's work, including the second novel of her's that was made into a movie called In Her Shoes. This book Good In Bed has as the heroine a true life woman who is "larger than life." It is refreshing to read a good story with a real woman as the center.

But wait - there is a bun in the oven. How does she handle this?

Good quick and easy read!
Good in Bed by Jennifer Weiner begins with the main issue of body image. It gets sidetracked with a lot of other happenings like family changes, career changes, and personal changes. That initial focus on women dealing with body image get lost within a main character who sounds self-indulgent at times and a Hollywood plot that is a little too over the top. Perhaps, I over analyze, but this was not the book for me.

I love Jennifer Weiner's books. Much more than just a beach read but easy reading none the less. I love her outlook on life and wish that more women were as honest and open about things!
Well written & intelligent, but for at least the first half I was annoyed by Cannie's pining for Mr. So Very Wrong. Then I laughed, cried, and laughed some more, so by the end I really liked this book.

Every 18-35 yr old girl should read this book. I love the way Weiner develops the character. I feel like Cannie is MY friend and I want to give her a hug.
I'm going against the tide here, I though this book was horrible and couldn't even finish it. Too cliche and way too predictible for me.I was yearning for a main character that was a "real curvy woman", but this character jsut annoyed me.
This was a fun read, but not quite what I expected. Weiner is an entertaining writer, but the second half of the book was filled with one too many "storybook endings".
This book is not my usual type of story, but it was the type of story that once you start it, you had to finish it. Very good.

I loved this book. The character was lovable and relatable. I couldn't wait to read more by this author.
Overall a great book. The plot line ends up being a little heavier than I would have liked, but it was definitely a page turner.

Candace Shapiro, Cannie, who recently dumped her ex-boyfriend, Bruce, discovers, to her horror, that she is the star of his monthly Moxie magazine column, 'Good in Bed,' in which he writes, in detail, what it was like 'Loving a Larger Woman.' After reading the article, Cannie begins to feel that dumping Bruce was a big mistake and she desperately wants him back. A brief reunion with Bruce after his father's death changes her life forever. Cannie moves on with help from her family and friends. She enrolls in a weight management program, where she meets the wonderful Dr. K, befriends Maxi, a famous actress, sells her screenplay, and, eventually, gets over Bruce. This was another enjoyable book by Jennifer Weiner with great supporting characters, family, friends, and, of course, the dog Nifkin. I would recommend this book to those who enjoy happy endings!

I think Jennifer Weiner is a great author. I loved In Her Shoes and this book was also very good. The story was interesting and unpredictable. Just a lot of fun!

Cannie Shapiro feels like she is coping pretty well with life. Sure, she isn't currently dating anyone, and she can't stand her mother's lesbian life-partner, and her father deserted the family and never looked back ... but she has a good job writing for the Philadelphia Examiner, good friends, a dog ... then one day she opens up a women's magazine and sees an article titled "Loving a Larger Woman" written by her ex-boyfriend. Cannie is devastated and humiliated. This is the story of Cannie's life starting from this point forward. It made me laugh and it made me cry - perfect "chic lit"! I liked that fact that Cannie has her ups and downs like a real human being, but she endures.
