What can I say but WOW! I have read a ton of "ghost" books in my life and find that they become predictable and somewhat boring...but in this case, this book kept me on the "edge of my seat"...never knowning what was coming next! Wonderful story very well told too. There were three instances of plot inconsistancies but they do not interupt the flow of the story at all...just something the editor missed!
I strongly recommend this book to all who are looking for the one that breaks the mold of most "ghost" books...this is a 5 star in my book and one of the best books I have read in about 20 years!

This is a very different Ghost story. It really is scary! I thought when i ordered it--"ok, I'm ready for a good spook story"--this is way beyond. I honestly in the middle of the book put it down and wondered if i should finish it--it was so scary. Asking myself what i had gotten myself into. I was really acared. But there is no fool like an old fool and i picked it back up and finished. It is a great read. I loved this book and am glad i finished it. I loved the ending--very unexpected.

An excellent book about ghosts with a plot that will capture you from the beginning. It was difficult to put down since it kept your attention all the way through!

Good one! So scary at times, I was looking over my shoulder and sleeping with the lights on!
I liked the book, it wasn't super but it was ok and it had its fine moments. This is a long book. I would not call it boring, it had many spooky ghostly occurrences and times when you might want to think twice about reading in the dark, but overall I give it a 3 stars.
I think some people may like it a lot more than I did. Perhaps I am DE-sensitized to all things ghostly and am looking for more of the unique qualities, things we have never heard of before.
The setting of this book takes place in Massachusetts, in a quiet and very old village. The towns occupants all seem to have some type of ghost story from a home they live in there or land they own. One home and two people in particular are dangerously haunted in more ways than one.

This story takes place on Nantucket Island. Mysterious murders are occurring with odd similarities. An actress moves into an old home on the island and the creaks and groans of the old house are more than just the furnace pipes stretching. The minister who loves a good ghost story and is sensitive to boot. And covering it all is an island detective, Timothy Brooks, a skeptic in the beginning, but soon he comes to realize that all is not what it seems on the surface.
This is one of the best ghosts stories ever. I'm not easily frightened, but I had to put this book down from time to time to collect myself. Highly recommend.

Very good book! I love paranormal books and this was a great one. Just couldn't put it down! I would highly recommend it.
This book was pretty good. It was better than I thought it would be, but also not as scary as I thought it would be too. Ghosts had an interesting storyline to it, one that kept you wanting to read, which was great. And, the end was a surprise to me. Very cool.
This book was o.k. I didn't find it as scary as some of the other reviewers and I thought the ending was a let down.
Good read. If you like ghost stories - you'll love this one. Full of action and a little scary at times. :)
