I got this book because I thought the premise was really cute. Jordan Landau is basically a human door-matt for everyone and is at the point in her life where everything is pooh. So when she gets whoomped by a car while riding her bike to work, she decides that this is her opportunity to re-invent herself by faking amnesia. Of course you can guess what happens, after that concept it's not much of a shocker because it's a romantic comedy (which I think is bound to be a movie someday). I read it in one day because I absolutely love Crane's writing. She's funny, witty, and puts things in a unique way that make me want to read more. All I can say is "Damnesia!" this is a good book. :D

This is the first time Ive read a Caprice Crane novel. I was thoroughly entertained and enjoyed Jordans story immensely. I liked that with Jordan, any reader can relate to her as we all have walked in her shoes at some point, whether its the toxic family or the lousy love connection or the less than satisfying career or maybe all areas, even. So, here we have a heroine who sheds new light on being a doormat. I even began to feel a little frustrated with her that she allowed this treatment for so long and sad that she felt her only solution was to lie.

After Jordan is hit by a car, she decides to fake amnesia thinking this will be the best way to change her life. She even drags her best friend, Todd, into her deception. I liked that Jordan does begin to take charge of her life with some very interesting results. Unfortunately, she doesnt plan on falling in love with Travis, the driver of the car that hit her. The bad news is he believes she has amnesia, so Jordan has really gotten herself into a pickle.

The situation appears to go from bad to worse when Jordans mother files a lawsuit against Travis and, obviously he doesnt take the news very well. Unfortunately for Jordan, she is involved in another mishap and this time really gets amnesia. Is this karma coming around for her earlier deception? If you are into that kind of thing, then I would say its possible.

At any rate, I loved watching how Jordan tries to navigate the path her amnesia now takes her and I laughed myself silly at her attempts to pitch advertising jingles to her boss that ring the gong of familiarity.

If you are looking for a very funny read filled with interesting and complex characters that you will love and some you will dislike intensely and a story that keeps you anticipating what will happen next, then I highly recommend this one that will make Caprice Crane an author to be on the lookout for.

Adorable book, kind of predictable but laugh out loud funny. Makes you take a look at your life and wonder what would you like to DO-OVER. Easy read, it only took me one day in the waiting room to finish.

A great book. I wanted to strangle a character or two in the book and make them see the error of their ways! Caprice Crane has a new fan in me.

Be sure not to skip over the first sentence. I did, and I was confused for pages and pages.

This book was just ok. I had hoped for more since I loved Stupid and Contagious so much. I didn't find this book as funny. This poor girls family was just horrid and so mean that it made me kind of sad for her. I did like her attitude in the end and liked how everything was resolved. All in all, there was nothing really memorable here.

I loved this book! Absolutely chick-littie, but laugh-out-loud funny, with great music references and all in all tons of fun. I'm VERY excited to hear the rumours that it's to be made into a movie. Also, I'm excited for some friends to read it. I was also quite excited to learn that the author is the daughter of Ginger from _Gilligan's Island_.

Hilarious! The kind of book that makes you run to the internet to see if it's been movie-optioned yet. You want to share it with friends, but at the same time, don't want to let your copy go, lest you never get it back.

This book was great! I laughed throughout the entire story. Caprice Crane is hysterical! Jordan Landau is uniquely...... average. As in.... she's someone we can all relate to. From her creepy cheating boyfriend, to her best friends, to her boss and co-workers, down to her overbearing mother, her easy-going step-dad (and Jordan got her personality from whom?!), to her highly confident sister. And last, but not least, her true love (yay!!!) The unique part is, how many of us would ever fake amnesia? Or at least get away with it! I loved this book and I plan on reading her first novel now, Stupid and Contagious. Great job, Caprice!

To be honest, I am still not entirely sure what I think of this book. While the story line kept me quite interested, I felt like the entire book was full of useless profanity. I wasn't appreciative of the language, especially when it is used so liberally. The ending didn't sit quite right with me either. Overall, I did really enjoy the book. Something wouldn't let me put it down. I am glad I finished it. Would recommend if you aren't looking for something too heavy.
