From the glowing endorsements plastered all over the front and back covers, I really expected Face of Betrayal to be a great book. Unfortunately, it was just ho-hum okay. While the Triple Threat Club was a great concept, I started to get bored with it after awhile. Allison was really the only character of the TTC that I liked.

The plot of the story was a great idea, and exactly what you'd see on the news, but the delivery of the story just seemed flat. The suspense of the book was good throughout the book because I truly had no idea who the killer was. However, when the TTC figures it out, the whole scene is somewhat anti-climactic.

Overall, I'd have to say that this is a so-so book, and probably not one that I'd recommend to suspense fans. I'd say that there's a 50-50 chance I'll read the next book in the series.

Great new writer! Right up there with Lisa Gardner, et al.

If you like mysteries by authors like James Patterson, Karin Slaughter, etc, you will absolutely love this book. I was introduced to this by another paperback swap member's review, and I cannot wait until I receive Book 2! This was an excellent book and I could not put it down. Lis Wiehl keeps you interested from Chapter 1 and the suprise ending was fantastic! The Triple Threat girls are fun and very strong characters. I loved this book!

This a terrific series.
I have read the first three already - I have the fourth and last in the series coming to me now.

You will enjoy this book if you like mysteries and lawyer books.

I have watched Lis Wiehl on Fox News and when I heard she had written a book, had to get it. It is a real well crafted book, great characters, plot that made me change my "whodunit" mind and is a great read.

At first glance this seemed like it was going to be a knock off of Patterson's Women's Murder Club, but since it was written by two women, there is a lot more to the characters. They are even allowed to not always like one another or completely understand where their friends are coming from.

Good moral base to the characters without it being overbearing in the storyline. I would encourage mature young adults to read this series. More relevant than Nancy Drew and it illustrates morals, respect and boundary issues all in one book. Lis and April did a good job with this one. Looking forward to the rest in the series.

This is my first time reading this author's work. She is a fox news person but I am not holding that against her. As a matter of fact, the characters are depicted as real people.

From the first page, she had me hooked. I was eager to know what happened next then fearful I would not be able to bear the sure to come bad news. The book moved you from one bit of good news then dumped you into bad.

The characters all made me want to explore them. I liked the story a lot. Will look for more books in this series - even if I have to buy them!

Encellent! Great mystery. Slow to read at first, but then as the drama picks up the book really beings to move along.

In general I liked this book. The authors have done a good job of filling in the backgrounds of all the main characters. The suspense is high and kept me reading until late at night. The story plot was very good, it reminded me a bit of that poor girl who was murdered in DC so long ago, she was a Page too, and the major suspect was a senator. The plot of this fiction story takes off from there and is dizzying in its many possibilities. I agree with another reviewer that this could easily be geared to YA's as well as adults. There is no foul language, etc. and that's a plus.
But that is not to say that the writing is absolutely great. There are just a couple of places where it seems a bit unpolished. The prosecutor, Allison, is terrified by threatening letters and phone calls having nothing to do with the story line. I won't tell anymore for fear of telling too much, but I felt that it makes one question why this was included at all. It's distracting. In other places the authors repeat things they've said before. These are just two things that might have been cut out with more careful editing.
Another thing I found annoying was all the hype from Fox's people. Lis Wiehl works/worked for Fox, so I get it that they want to give her a boost, but it tends to make one wonder if any of these people actually DID read the book. I mean c'mon!! Bill O'Reilly?! Really?
All in all though it was pretty good, and I'm not sorry I took the time to read it. I'm hoping the next one is even better.
