This was an incredible read! I normally really dont care for military books but Mr. Baldacci has written one that I truly believe everyone would enjoy --- It took me a couple of days for really solid reading to get through it but, it was well worth it. Theres enough detail in the whole story to just grab you interest and hold your attention throughout the whole story! Ive read other books about John Puller by Baldacci and what I really, truly like is that each one can be read by itself, dont have to be read in order and theyre GREAT reads!

I love David Baldacci, I am often on the wish list for one the minute I hear it is coming out and normally I devour it in a day or two. This one was different. I gave it 150 pages, but I couldn't give it anymore. I was bored. The action packed chapters were not here. It was cumbersome on its governmental jargon and I really did not care what happened. John Puller is not my favorite. It could have gotten better, but I think it would have sat for months in order for me to pick it up for more than one chapter at time.

I don't think I've been disappointed by a David Baldacci book yet. If I have, then its long been forgotten. This is the 3rd book in the John Puller series and I will say, you may need to be patient with this one. There is allot of set up but once it gets going, it keeps the pages turning. If you're a Baldacci fan, then there is no reason you won't enjoy this one.

Bought this book second-hand. It had a note in it saying 'this is a good book', so couldn't resist. Haven't read any other John Puller books, but that didn't matter. Puller reminds me of Jack Reacher. John and his brother and family are military officers. His genius brother is jailed for treason and escapes from Leavenworth. John tries to find him, figure out how he escaped and if/how he was framed. Fast moving and intelligent thriller.

One of the best Baldacci titles I have read, (read enough to compare).

This was the most exciting John Puller book yet! I could not put it down. A story full of characters you're not sure you can trust! Highly recommended reading!

I'm a huge fan of David Baldacci! I LOVED this book. I love John Puller's character. The story is about John and his genius brother Robert, who was convicted as a traitor and is in Solitary Confinement in a Military Prison for life. He managed an escape and the brothers have to prove Robert was set up.

I couldn't put this book down, couldn't wait to see what happens. I read all Baldacci's books and each one is better than the other.

I think I could like John Puller but the only thing is I don't like such long long boring descriptions that just go on and on page after page, this is almost 500 pages? Not necessary to drag out what could be a really good book if it were more condensed down to about 350 pages. The copy I had from the library, which was not large print, had 470 pages so why does this site show only 432?

Good John Puller story, similar to Lee Child's Jack Reacher stories

This is a long story, which is fine with me. It's a good read, has well-defined characters who are believable, mostly, well, sort of, and a pretty decent plot. The writing is a little bit off. This story is not as well crafted as some of Baldacci's earlier works. I mean, "Her shoulder length hair fell freely to her shoulders." Really?

Fabulous! Just finished reading it, and could not put it down. This is a great series that gets your heart racing. I sure hope there will be more in this series. John Puller is an interesting, likable character . It is my kind of book.
