Co-dependency can and does exist even in families where there is no substance abuse present. Enabling is a major part of the co-dependency/dependency cyles in realtionships. Angelyn Miller uses her own family and her own experiences to tell how she came tot he painful realization that she was an enabler.

"This is a great testimonial to the benefits that are possible when you recognize that you are an enabler." Jennifer P. Schneider, M.D.

Great information on how one enables dependency of alcoholics, children, depressed people, etc. I frequently shared my copies with my therapy clients.
