Autobiography of a great African-American female writer. Perfect for students, English teachers, African-American studies. This version restores chapters omitted from earlier versions. A very interesting and inspiring book.

I loved "Their Eyes Were Watching God" and looked for anything I could find by the same author. I probably did not give this one enough of a chance, but I just couldn't get caught up in it and only read a few chapters.
