Duane Edgar Graveline (MD, MPH) is a medical doctor and former NASA Astronaut. He is one of the 6 scientists selected in 1965 in NASA's fourth group of astronauts for Apollo. He is most famous for being immersed in water for 7 days as part of his zero gravity deconditioning research while a USAF research scientist. He was consultant to US magician David Blaine for his week of water immersion in 2006, predicting Blaines' profound weakness from deconditioning.
