Off she goes to spend time with her Husband in San Diego and to work on her case. I liked the story line, mystery and the characters. Love her In-Laws, especially Ryan. I used Michael Clarke Duncan as my mental picture for Blue. I had to re-read dialogue many times. Some of it was quick phrases and left me asking who said what. I was often lost on the meaning and had to go back and re-read it a couple of times to follow the line of reasoning. Not as good as her first one.

I enjoyed the first Animal Instinct Mystery, and I really wanted to enjoy this one, too. I find the characters to be quite engaging, and I care about what happens to them. However, I found the storyline to be too twisted and convoluted. I kept getting the feeling that I had missed something, and I spent a lot of time going back and re-reading bits and pieces.

I hope Sara and Conner can resolve their issues, because I like them both, and I don't see how they can sustain many more books as things are ...
