WOW, What a book! It is one of the most unique and interesting books I read in a long time. To think I almost didn't want to read it! Am I glad I decided to give it a try.
After some confusion about the different tribes of humans, and especially the going back and fourth in time, it all came together clearly.
Some parts are sad and disturbing; the three main tribes are gripping and riveting; with leaders you come to adore. My favorite character is Mal with his wolf "Dog".
Needless to say, I loved this book and can't stop thinking about it. I can only hope for a sequel..... please Mr. Cameron!

Not just for dog lovers!
Wow <24 hrs; fastest 400 pg book I ever read. Including all the credits. If it was 1000 pgs, I would still be reading & thoroughly engrossed.
My one criticism was the choppiness of 3 tribes, and 3 different time periods; it was a distracting & confused mess. Everything else was 'Masterful.'
As always, the best books inspire & make you think...and this one is a wonderful story in which you also rethink what you know (or think you know) about ancient man & the Ice Age.

I just loved this book and devoured it in 2 days. If is a combination of Clan of the Cave Bear and a dogs purpose.
