A touching story about a thirteen year old girl trying to keep her family together. A Tillerman family novel.
When their mother abandoned them, Dicey, 13, has taken charge and brought the younger children all the way from Provincetown, MA, to Chesapeake Bay, where their unusual grandmother--one of those gruff people who you nevertheless feel have affection--decides to adopt them. Then one day, a disturbing letter arrives with news of their mother, who is in a hospital far away...
Although it has some sadness in it, this is one of those stories that leave you feeling good about the human potential and spirit. And in its way, the ending is happy.

Second book in the Tillerman series. Although the first book (Homecoming) was the best, this one was also excellent.

Awesome!
fantastic book
Good story
Keeping her familt together is what 13 year old Dicey does best.
Now that all 4 children are placed with the Grandmother, Dicey is bored with everyone and everything at school.
