Book Review of Dicey's Song (Tillerman, Bk 2)

Dicey's Song (Tillerman, Bk 2)
reviewed on

When their mother abandoned them, Dicey, 13, has taken charge and brought the younger children all the way from Provincetown, MA, to Chesapeake Bay, where their unusual grandmother--one of those gruff people who you nevertheless feel have affection--decides to adopt them. Then one day, a disturbing letter arrives with news of their mother, who is in a hospital far away...
Although it has some sadness in it, this is one of those stories that leave you feeling good about the human potential and spirit. And in its way, the ending is happy.
