This book was great from beginning to end. Absolutely hysterical and yet touching in many many sections. The chemistry between Cole and Ellenor was both steamy and yet believable. Ellenor is strong and smart with just a touch of sass, which makes her perfect for Cole. Strong and tortured, Cole captured me totally from page one. I couldn't put it down and would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romance, regardless of preferred genre.

March 19 2010 This was a fabulous book. Great characters. The female was not whiney or wimpy she knew what she wanted and went after it, uh, him. He had a totured past, he was handsome, strong and sexy what more could a girl ask for. The book had a great story no unnecessary filler in the middle to drag it out it was a very fast read. I like that characters from the 1st book made an appearance it makes the books feel more connected. I also like that you get some insight into a couple of the younger brothers. (6 brothers in total) This was by far the best book of the three.

The only bad thing I could say is now I have to impatiently wait for the 4th book to be released.

In my mind, you just can't beat a romantic story of a Highland warrior in the early centuries. Out of Ms. Sinclaire's stories of the 7 McTiernay brothers, this is one of my top two! Loved it right from the start as Cole arrived in England, to retrieve and deliver Ellenor to her cousin at his brother's castle. They both, of course, are carrying their baggage with their past, which interferes with their romance yet they both intuitively understand ea other, try to fight their attraction, and have some lovely squabbles and challenges along the way. I enjoy it when the people around them see their perfect attraction while the H&H can't quite grasp it yet. Very worthwhile story!
