Charley Sloan, the attorney star of this book, is my kind of guy! Even though he's been a drunk, lost three marriages and almost lost his career, he's always been honest and it's this honesty that almost cost him everything. I loved this book, I love this man and I'm looking for more books about him. William Coughlin's sense of humor cracks me up!

first Charely Sloan I have read and I enjoyed it immensely. I really liked the character and the story with it.

A fabulous legal mystery dealing with an appeals case that has more than money riding on the outcome! Characters and scenario very believable.

moved very slow and didn't hold my interest
A very good read, easy to follow & very few "dead spots". Perhaps a little too much to do with respect to Sloan's addiction but not enough to lose anyone.
