Interesting premise, but the story was a bit confusing. I had to keep checking to remember which character was which. The book was also too long (372 pages)--the events could have unfolded much more quickly and the book been half as long. A good first effort by the author.I will probably read more in this series because I did like the characters well enough by the end of the story to want to find out what happens next.

When I found this series, I was pretty excited about the concept, but for me, this book lagged in some key places - making it hard to stay awake to read. Hopefully number 2 in the series will have a faster pace and easier readability.

I was disappointed with this book. But I will give the author the benefit of the doubt, as it appears to be her debut.

First in a new series, this one features Erin Gilbert and her interior designing rival Steve Sullivan. This story was kind of a take off on 'Trading Spaces', with the heroine decorating 1 room and her rival decorating another. Then, of course, someone gets murdered and she has to figure out who did it.

Good book - very enjoyable, especially if you like to watch the design shows on HGTV. First of a new series.
