One of the first books written by Dr. Sears about attachment parenting, highly recommended.

The Searses take attachment parenting further than I would, but this is the best overall child care book I used with my own children--commonsense, pro-nursing, consistent with Christian convictions--in that way more "me" than LLL, e.g.

I am usually a fan of Dr. Sears's books but this book is extremely outdated. Plus I feel that although it is supposed to be about attachment parenting it is pretty much like most other parenting books. I was very disappointed with this book.
