The story is written in first person, by Izzy telling the story of all that happened while her mother was "ill" and then to her final demise by suicide.
The book has many flashbacks, of the crazy and strange behavior of the mother over the years of Izzy's life. Some of the things that her mother has done is quite odd.

A very moving story of two sisters whose late mother had a profound impact on them. Both were affected differently, but as the story develops, we are drawn in and must continue to read to learn more about Izzy and Ellie and their families. Enjoyable read!
Quick, easy read. I guess I kept expecting more and Elisabeth just didn't deliver. The ending was horrible, but this book was better than the Abortionist Daughter.
Izzy lets us into her past and present....life with her parents, sister, niece and husband. There were some deep thoughts in the book, but definetly not one of my favorites.
I read this book in a day and thought it was very good!
