Another warm and fuzzy book about Father Tim & Cynthia...this time the entire book takes place in Ireland and involves quite a few interesting characters at the inn where they are staying. It's a little different, and I kind of missed the North Carolina characters and flavor, but all in all, a good read.

This is a beautifully written book, perhaps the best of both the Father Tim and Mitford series, and that's saying something.

Having read, and re-read, all of those books, I feel that one shouldn't read the latest without having read the previous - but doing so would certainly make the reader want to go back and seek out each series.

Characters are fully developed, and attention paid to the beautiful setting in Ireland. Cultural differences are noted and observed, but all is done in a natural, easy-to-read style.

Go forth, and enjoy this book without any reservation!

Perhaps a bit darker but not so much. Still Father Tim, being himself. I found the old journal fascinating & was sorry to see it, and the book, end. We should be happy to get a few more glimpses of Mitford folks, after all...

this one was a hard read for me. It did not keep my attention as well as the others in the series. The brogue and many new characters were hard getting used to. Father Tim was his usual kind, caring and loving person. If that is what a vacation is I'm glad I don't take any. The ending does bring it altogether though.

Excellent book, however, I prefer the books placed in Mitford. I will say that this one I've been looking for for some time. I'm glad to have it in my collection.

Father Tim is again pursuing his history and trying to come to terms with it. As usual, he manages, with a lot of prayer and faith in a VERY big and loving God.

This book like all of her others was hard to put down once I started reading it. I love all of her characters and love the way she brings them back into other books. This is one of my favorites!
